About this event
Who: This open tryout event and additional match arefor players who both aspire to and believe they are competent enough to playprofessional soccer with the right opportunity What/When: Saturday April 17th, 2021 7pm (view a closed-door preseasonSwitchbacks match) Sunday April 18th, 2021 open tryout Maximum of 2 sessions: 50 Player Max First Sessions (timing divided for groups of 25 and 25) 1.5hrs followed by a cut Second Session (invite only) for 1 hr. End no later than 5pm. Where: Weidner Field (New Downtown Colorado Springs)111 W Cimarron, Colorado Springs, CO. 80903 Why: At least ONE player from the open tryout eventwill be invited to preseason training. Registration: Each player participating in theSwitchbacks FC Open Player Tryout must completely fill out the RegistrationForm sent to registrants via email. All applicants will receive a confirmation email after submitting payment. Registration forms will be emailed within one week of purchase. Requirements: All players are required to bring aform of valid identification (i.e. Driver’s License, passport, etc.) to thetryout. Players must fill out and sign waiver form to participate in tryout. Cost: Early registration- $200 (Fees include 1Switchbacks FC training shirt to wear during the tryout) Registration feesincrease to $225 after February 28th, 2021. There will be no refunds for theSwitchbacks FC tryouts. Fees do not include lodging, transportation or meals. Staff: Tryout sessions will take place in front ofSwitchbacks FC coaching Staff and former professional players and coaches whohave extensive knowledge of professional soccer. The Switchbacks FC coachingStaff is responsible for any final decisions regarding player contracts. Transportation: TRANSPORTAION IS NOT PROVIDED.Trialists will be responsible for their own transportation to and from theairport. Important Info: Participants are responsible for all airfare, incurredtravel costs, food and transportation. Also, note that the Switchbacks FCwill not help with Visas or letters of invitation. Players must come prepared for the tryouts with their owncleats, socks, gloves, shin guards or any other equipment related to theirposition. Teams will be constructed randomly according to players’preferred positions in 2 groups of 25 players There will be Covid protocols that must be followed Due to Covid-19 travel restrictions and international travelpolicies, The Club will not be welcoming international players to open tryouts. If you are not from the United States pleasedo not purchase into the open tryouts, PURCHASES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
