And there it is: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI. The Bengals clinched the AFC Championship over the Kansas City Chiefs with 250 passing yards from Joe Burrow, two critical field goals from Evan McPherson, and a lost coin toss (apparently not a death sentence as we once thought). As for the NFC Championship, the Los Angeles Rams snapped a six-game losing streak to the 49ers, falling behind 17-7 in the third quarter and coming back to win it 20-17.
The Rams’ deal with Matthew Stafford clearly paid off — although his game wasn’t perfect, Stafford made plenty of big plays to clutch the game. Stafford will face off against Joe Burrow who can make history by having won the college football national championship with LSU, the Heisman in 2019, and now (potentially) the Lombardi Trophy. The Big Game will take place at SoFi Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Rams, for the first time.
