SeatGeek, Inc. and its associated companies (collectively, “SeatGeek”, “we”, “us”, “our”) are committed to protecting your personal information. SeatGeek employees, clients, customers, and users should consult the respective notices for those data subjects. For applicants, we collect the personal information below in connection with your application for employment or work with SeatGeek. 3. Sensitive Personal Information
In the course of the application process, SeatGeek may collect certain categories of sensitive personal information as defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws. This sensitive personal information may include Social Security numbers, passport numbers, driver’s license numbers, state identification card numbers, and other government-issued identifiers, as well as demographic information such as racial or ethnic origin that may be voluntarily provided for equal employment opportunity purposes.
SeatGeek collects and uses sensitive personal information solely for the following limited and permissible business purposes: (i) to verify your identity and eligibility for employment; (ii) to conduct background checks where applicable and with your consent; (iii) to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including tax reporting requirements and employment eligibility verification under federal I-9 requirements; and (iv) for equal employment opportunity monitoring and compliance reporting as required or permitted by law.
SeatGeek does not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you beyond these specific lawful purposes. Our collection and processing of sensitive personal information is strictly limited to what is necessary for legitimate employment-related functions and legal compliance.
You have the right under certain state laws to request that we limit the use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information. However, SeatGeek’s processing of sensitive personal information is already restricted to the permissible purposes described above, which are necessary for the employment application process and our legal obligations. As such, any request to limit use or disclosure will be evaluated in light of these existing limitations and applicable legal requirements.
4. Information We Provide to Others
SeatGeek utilizes a number of vendors and service providers to conduct its businesses. Service providers who receive your personal information from SeatGeek are required to follow privacy and security practices in the processing of your personal information. In addition to the services providers above, any information we collect, including personal information, may be disclosed to certain third parties, for example, as part of any actual or potential merger, acquisition, debt financing, sale of company assets, or similar transaction, as well as in the event of insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership in which personal information could be transferred to third parties as one of our business assets. We may also disclose personal information about you to any competent law enforcement body, regulatory, government agency, court, or other third party if we believe that doing so is legally required or is necessary to protect our property or other legal rights (including but not limited to enforcement of our agreements or the rights of others).
SeatGeek does not sell or share (as that term is defined in applicable U.S. state privacy laws) the personal information of applicants or otherwise share it for online advertising purposes.
