SeatGeek, Inc. and its associated companies (collectively, “SeatGeek”, “we”, “us”, “our”) are committed to protecting your personal information. This notice covers requirements in the United States for all individuals applying for employment at SeatGeek (collectively, “Applicant”, “you”, or “your”).

2. Information We Collect and Why

We collect personal information about several different types of individuals; this notice covers applicants only. SeatGeek Employees and Users should consult the respective notices for those data subjects. For Applicants, we collect the personal information below about you to the extent you apply for employment at SeatGeek. In the last twelve (12) months, the personal information we collected for the application process and our reasons for doing so are:

3. Information We Provide to Others

SeatGeek utilizes a number of vendors and service providers to conduct its businesses. Service providers who receive your personal information from SeatGeek are required to follow privacy and security practices in the processing of your personal information. In addition to the services providers above, any information we collect, including personal information, may be disclosed to certain third parties, for example, as part of any actual or potential merger, acquisition, debt financing, sale of company assets, or similar transaction, as well as in the event of insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership in which personal information could be transferred to third parties as one of our business assets. We may also disclose personal information about you to any competent law enforcement body, regulatory, government agency, court, or other third party if we believe that doing so is legally required or is necessary to protect our property or other legal rights (including but not limited to enforcement of our agreements or the rights of others).

SeatGeek does not sell the personal information of applicants or otherwise share it for online advertising purposes.

4. Retaining and Deleting Your Personal Information

Personal information will be stored in accordance with applicable laws and kept as long as needed to carry out the purposes described in this Notice or as otherwise required by applicable law. Generally, this means your personal information will be retained:

  • In accordance with employment record retention policies in the event you obtain employment with SeatGeek;
  • for a reasonable time period after confirmation that your application was unsuccessful (to allow us to consider you for other suitable openings within SeatGeek in the future), unless you request that we delete your application by contacting us using the contact details set out at Section 6 below;
  • background check retention policy is dictated by the terms of the consent that you sign upon completion of the background check profile.

5. Your Privacy Rights

Certain states in the United States grant legal rights regarding personal information, like California, Colorado, Utah, Virginia, and Connecticut. These include the right to know, delete, correct, limit, and opt-out of certain processing of personal information, with some legal exceptions. SeatGeek, by law, will not discriminate in response to any privacy requests you make.
