About Henry Cho Tickets
Henry Cho is an American stand-up comedian known for his clean, family-friendly humor and unique perspective as a Korean-American raised in the American South. Born on December 30, 1962, in Knoxville, Tennessee, Cho began his comedy career in 1986 while attending the University of Tennessee. He gained national attention with appearances on The Tonight Show, The Late Late Show, and NBC’s Young Comedians Special. His ability to blend Southern charm with his Asian heritage has made him a distinctive voice in the comedy scene.
Throughout his career, Cho has maintained a strong presence on television and film. He served as the host of NBC’s Friday Night Videos for two years and has had guest roles on sitcoms like Designing Women and The New WKRP in Cincinnati. In addition to his television work, Cho has appeared in films such as McHale’s Navy (1997), Say It Isn’t So(2001), and Material Girls (2006). His clean comedy style has also led him to perform regularly at the Grand Ole Opry, making him one of the few Asian-American comedians to do so.
In 2023, Cho achieved a significant milestone in his career by being inducted as the 229th member of the Grand Ole Opry, a prestigious honor that had not been extended to a comedian since 1973. This recognition underscores his unique blend of comedy and country music, further solidifying his place in the entertainment industry.
Henry Cho's "Not a Tour" event is a unique comedy experience that blends his signature clean humor with a relaxed, intimate atmosphere. Unlike traditional stand-up tours, this event is designed to feel more like a casual gathering with friends, where Cho shares personal stories, engages in spontaneous interactions, and delivers his comedy in a laid-back setting. The "Not a Tour" format allows for a more personal connection with the audience, offering a refreshing departure from the typical comedy show structure.
Henry Cho's "Not a Tour" event runs September 20 - December 20, 2025 as part of his larger Empty Nest Tour.
