Since its launch, Netflix Is a Joke Fest has become a flagship live event for the streaming giant’s comedy brand, showcasing the depth and diversity of the modern comedy scene.
The festival first debuted in 2022, created as an extension of Netflix’s rapidly expanding stand-up comedy catalog and its popular “Netflix Is a Joke” comedy platform. The inaugural edition featured hundreds of comedians performing across Los Angeles, from iconic theaters to legendary comedy clubs. Early highlights included performances by major comedy stars, massive ticket sales, and historic moments such as Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias becoming the first solo comedian to sell out Dodger Stadium during the festival.
