Seat Geek is surprisingly really good. I’ve used a few of the other ticket apps and they are expensive and charge pretty high fees. Set It Off is an American pop-rock/pop-punk band formed in 2008 in Tampa, Florida. It began when lead vocalist Cody Carson, while enrolled at Oberlin Conservatory to study classical clarinet, gained attention via a YouTube channel where he posted cover songs—including a viral video inviting All Time Low's Alex Gaskarth to sing with him on stage. That moment led to Carson dropping out of college and founding the band with Zach DeWall and later adding drummer Maxx Danziger. They cultivated a strong early online fanbase through Carson's videos, which eventually helped secure a record deal with Equal Vision Records.
Over the years, Set It Off released a succession of EPs before their debut studio album Cinematics in 2012, which helped establish their cinematic, orchestrated pop-punk style. Their breakthrough continued with Duality (2014), Upside Down (2016) and Midnight (2019), each marking a shift toward a more polished and genre-blending sound. In 2022 they released Elsewhere on Fearless Records, their fifth studio effort, before choosing to become independent in 2023—and launching their “Dopamine” era with singles like “Punching Bag."
Their music—especially standout tracks like “Partners in Crime” and “Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing” (recently re-recorded as “Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing [Reborn]” to mark its 10th anniversary)—has garnered millions of streams and earned devoted fandom. Known for their high-energy live performances and deep connection with their fans, Set It Off won the Rock Sound Fan Power Award in 2019.
