VP, Inventory

SeatGeek’s inventory landscape has rapidly expanded over the last few years of product growth. Once simply an aggregator of inventory from a few ticketing marketplaces, SeatGeek is now a leading live-entertainment marketplace, sourcing its tickets from thousands of sellers directly. This has enabled us to improve our inventory listings for consumers and have a more direct relationship between our sellers and buyers, optimizing our rapidly scaling online marketplace.

As our VP of Inventory you’ll be responsible for scaling and optimizing the expanding ecosystem of inventory available on SeatGeek’s consumer platform. In this capacity you’ll be overseeing teams responsible for inventory acquisition, seller experience, inventory operations, and analysis. You will work across multiple functions to ensure alignment between inventory strategy and company objectives.

Who You Are

  • You have experience in running inventory, supply chain or content at a growth-tech company (live event space preferred, but certainly not required)
  • You understand the operating and pricing dynamics in a multi-party market environment
  • You can work cross-functionally with varying departments, specifically marketing, legal, data, and finance
  • You can put an ROI to anything and everything (required)
  • A strong negotiator. You can apply concepts of supply, demand and ROI for SeatGeek and suppliers to ensure projects & contracts are set up for mutual success
  • Personable. You can work well with internal teams and also be a strong external presence for SeatGeek’s inventory strategy
  • An expert project manager with the ability to prioritize and push initiatives forward

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or Operations
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a supply chain or content specific function
  • 5+ years of management experience with strong mentorship skills and the ability to hire well
  • Background in investment banking, sell-side trading, and/or markets preferred
  • You may also have business development experience in addition to the above
