Jonas Brothers Details

Joe, Kevin, and Nick Jonas are three brothers who make up the American pop rock band aptly named The Jonas Brothers. Formed in 2005, these Jersey boys were signed to Columbia Records after recording their first song, “Please Be Mine.” Before the brothers had even completed their debut album, they were performing alongside popular artists including the Backstreet Boys, Jesse McCartney, and Kelly Clarkson.

With their first single released in December of 2005, the group’s music was soon featured on popular television networks, including Cartoon Network, the Disney Channel, and Nickelodeon. In 2007, the Jonas Brothers really took off as they were signed to Hollywood Records. The brothers released a self-titled album that same year, reaching the number five spot on Billboard’s Hot 200 chart within the first week of its release.

From there, all eyes were on these three brothers. Not only was the band performing with the likes of Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus, they were popping up all over TV as well. With stints on Hannah Montana and Camp Rock, teenagers worldwide were soon swooning for this trio. In 2009, the Jonas Brothers were nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards.

After releasing hit after hit and performing for fans all over the globe, the brothers officially split up in 2013. It wasn’t until six years later that the brothers reunited and released a new single called “Sucker.” The song not only debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, but it also sold nearly 90,000 copies in its first week. The single soon became the Jonas Brothers’ first-ever number-one song.
