About Travis Scott Tickets
Travis Scott, born Jacques Webster in Houston, TX, is a successful American singer, songwriter, and record producer. All of this success stemmed from Scott’s early love of music. Willing to take risks for to pursue his dreams, Travis Scott dropped out of the University of Texas at San Antonio to move to New York and start his music career. However, the concrete jungle later proved not to be the spot where Scott would find his success.
In 2008, Scott released an untitled EP with Chris Holloway on Myspace. The following year, Scott paired up with a classmate to form the aptly group The Classmates. The duo released Buddy Rich in 2009 and Cruis'n USA in 2010 and remained together till 2012. From there, Travis Scott’s rise to fame was rocky. He moved to NY, then to LA, sleeping on floors and struggling to make his big break. When his parents cut him off financially, Scott didn’t give up hope.
Finally, famed Atlanta-based rapper T.I., heard one of Scott’s productions, “Lights (Love Sick).” From there, Travis Scott met with T.I.’s team and earned validation that his work was worthwhile. In 2014, he headlined a concert tour called “The Rodeo Tour” where Kanye West, Chris Brown, and other stars made appearances. In 2016, Scott released his second album called “Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight” and it soon shot to number one on the US Billboard 200 chart.
In 2018, Travis Scott released a single titled “Watch” featuring Kanye West and Lil Uzi Vert. He has also collaborated with the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Justin Bieber, Camila Cabello, and Juicy J. These days, Travis Scott has millions and millions of followers across his social media accounts. Of course, Scott also made headlines when he and Kylie Jenner announced the birth of their child, Stormi Webster, in February of 2018.
In August of 2018, Travis Scott released his long-awaited third studio album, named Astroworld after the closed-down theme park "Six Flags AstroWorld" in Scott's hometown of Houston. The album was both a commercial and critical success, debuting atop the Billboard 200 and noteworthy for its many guest features and outstanding production. Scott announced his supporting "Wish You Were Here" tour a few weeks following the album release.
