Nickelback headed back on tour

Nickelback has been giving fans an early holiday treat, allowing them to hear brand new music this fall on their "No Fixed Address" album. And the even better part? Everyone will get to hear it live when the band kicks off its North American tour on Valentine's Day next year at the brand new PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

"No Fixed Address" arrived November 17 and quickly spawned the hits"Edge of a Revolution" and "What Are You Waiting For?" A third song, "Get 'Em Up," also arrived in advance of the album as well.

Once Nickelback hits the road in 2015, they'll be rolling all across North America with a massive tour that will stop in 60 cities. There's a pair of legs to the tour, with the first leg set to run Feb. 14 through April 7, with the band later returning for the second leg on June 19 with shows running through Aug. 29. Nickelback recently revealed the tour news during a special announcement and concert webcast via Yahoo at the Sunset Strip House of Blues in West Hollywood, California.

Nickelback will be joined on the "No Fixed Address" tour by The Pretty Reckless on select dates. The up-and-coming rockers have enjoyed a big2014 with the release of their "Going to Hell" album and will look to keep the momentum going while warming up crowds for Nickelback.

The pre-sale for the tour began Monday, Nov. 10 through Citi's Private Pass Program. Meanwhile, members of Nickelback's fan club got access to pre-sale opportunities back on Friday, Nov. 7.

Wedding bells ring for Nickelback's Kroeger (Updated May 22, 2013)

The life of a musician (or in this case, musicians) has never been documented as much as it is now. Though the cameras and the press and the writings about Nickelback in 2013 have very little to do with their music. Instead, tongues have been wagging over frontman Chad Kroeger's pending nuptials to Avril Lavigne.

The couple got engaged in August 2012, just months after they met at a recording studio while working on new music. The "Here's To Never Growing Up" singer (that would be Lavigne) has been in planning mode for the big day ever since, revealing to various media outlets that she wants to "do something special and unique" for the wedding.

As the calendar moved to 2013, Lavigne was determined not to be separated from the band. Thus, she packed up and headed out on tour with Nickelback as they played in Australia, allowing her to see her fiance on stage for the first time.

Now, Nickelback is back in the headlines for plans to join Bon Jovi in a one-off show in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 21 as part of the Because We Can world tour. The show will held one day after Bon Jovi and Nickelback perform at Rock in Rio with Matchbox Twenty.

The Because We Can tour is currently in Europe, with upcoming dates in Bulgaria and Austria.

Canadian rock band Nickelback is synonymous with the rough vocals and slick, commercial production of bands that emerged in the late 90's. Though they initially failed to gain traction north of the border, "How You Remind Me" shot to the top of the charts in 2001, while garnering four Grammy nominations and 4 Juno Awards. Songs like "Photograph," "Far Away" and "Rockstar" are still some of the most-played on hit music and rock radio stations everywhere. The project "Dark Horse" followed, and with it came an astonishing eight singles, while the band's 2011 effort, "Here and Now," again topped the charts.

The North American leg of the "Here and Now Tour" kicked off April 10, 2012 at the i Wireless Center in Moline, Illinois and wrapped at the end of July in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It also stopped in England, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Australia and Japan to close out 2012.
