What was once a summer camp dream between two friends is now a success story. The American folk band, CAAMP, was formed between childhood friends Taylor Meier and Evan Westfall and was later joined by Matt Vinson and Joseph Kavalec. CAAMP released their self-titled debut album in 2016 and began to upload their music to the streaming platform Spotify. The song ‘Ohio’ and ‘All the Debts I Owe’ went viral, with the latter earning over ten million streams. In 2019 CAAMP debuted their album By and By, which hit No. 1 on the Heatseekers Albums chart and secured the band a spot on the Billboard Emerging Artist Chart. CAAMP is known for their relatable and honest lyrics joined together by melodic tales from the banjo.
