About Cage The Elephant Tickets
Cage the Elephant formed in 2006 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, when childhood friends Matt Shultz, his brother Brad, Jared Champion, Daniel Tichenor and later Lincoln Parish (now succeeded by Nick Bockrath and Matthan Minster) transitioned from garage-band roots to national stages. A breakthrough performance at South by Southwest in 2007 secured them a deal with Relentless Records and prompted a move to London to record their self-titled debut. Released in 2008 (UK) and 2009 (US), the album featured the breakout single “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked," a chart success and media staple in video games and film.
Their sophomore release, Thank You, Happy Birthday (2011), debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, blending punk‑rock energy and introspective songwriting—highlighted by singles like “Shake Me Down,” which earned a VMA nomination and strong alternative radio presence. Their third album, Melophobia (2013), marked a stylistic evolution with the hit “Come a Little Closer,” which soared to No. 1 on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart.
Cage the Elephant cemented their critical reputation with two Grammy-winning albums: Tell Me I’m Pretty (2015), produced by Dan Auerbach, and Social Cues (2019). In 2024, they released Neon Pill, an introspective effort inspired by frontman Matt Schultz’s personal losses and recovery journey; the album topped the Alternative Airplay chart and was followed by the highest-grossing tour of their career. Known for their electrifying live performances, the band continues to evolve, blending raw energy with melodic complexity.
