Pierce the Veil is an American rock band formed in San Diego, California in 2006. The band was founded by brothers Vic Fuentes and Mike Fuentes following their earlier group. Soon after, Tony Perry (lead guitar) and Jaime Preciado (bass) joined the line-up. Over the years, their sound has incorporated elements of post-hardcore, emo and alternative rock, and they’ve built a dedicated global fanbase thanks to their emotional intensity, technical musicianship and dynamic live shows.

Pierce the Veil's latest full studio album is The Jaws of Life, which was released on February 10, 2023. In addition, a deluxe edition of The Jaws of Life was announced for release May 2025, including bonus tracks like a cover of Radiohead’s “Karma Police” and a new song titled “Kiss Me Now.” The album features the single “Emergency Contact,” which became the band’s first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart.
