The Stray Cats Tickets

The Stray Cats are an iconic American rockabilly trio formed in Massapequa, Long Island, New York, in 1979 by guitarist/vocalist Brian Setzer, double-bassist Lee Rocker, and drummer Slim Jim Phantom. They became pivotal figures in the early ’80s rockabilly revival with their retro aesthetic, charismatic performances, and classic hits like “Rock This Town,” “Stray Cat Strut” and “(She’s) Sexy + 17."

Yes, The Stray Cats are heading out on their 2026 Cross-Country Summer Tour, a month-long run kicking off July 24 in Las Vegas and wrapping August 16 in Morristown, NJ. The tour marks a triumphant return to the road for the original trio of Brian Setzer, Lee Rocker, and Slim Jim Phantom following Setzer's health recovery. Dates span the West Coast, Midwest, and East Coast, hitting cities including Phoenix, Highland, CA, Kansas City, and Westbury, NY, among others.

The The Stray Cats 2026 Cross-Country Summer Tour officially kicks off on July 24, 2026, at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The run continues through August 16, 2026, giving fans across the country a chance to catch the all-original lineup live.

The 2026 Cross-Country Summer Tour covers a wide swath of the country, with stops including Las Vegas, Phoenix, Del Mar, Highland (CA), Santa Rosa, Wheatland, Sandy (UT), Colorado Springs, Kansas City, Huber Heights (OH), Interlochen (MI), Northfield (OH), Westbury (NY), Atlantic City, and Morristown (NJ). Check the full list of tour dates for every confirmed stop.

Brian Setzer was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition that temporarily sidelined him from performing and required treatment at the Mayo Clinic. He shared publicly that he was recovering well, and by late 2025 The Stray Cats announced a fall U.S. tour with the full original lineup intact. The 2026 Summer Tour continues that comeback, reuniting Setzer with Lee Rocker and Slim Jim Phantom for what fans are calling one of the most anticipated rockabilly shows in years.

The Stray Cats will be joined by vintage-country quartet The Midnight Cowgirls as the special guest opener on all shows. The Midnight Cowgirls bring an old-school country twang that complements the The Stray Cats' retro rockabilly vibe.

While setlists can vary from night to night, the 2026 Summer Tour is expected to feature fan favorites and iconic hits from across the The Stray Cats catalog. Expect classics like "Rock This Town," "Stray Cat Strut," "Runaway Boys," "(She's) Sexy + 17," "Rumble In Brighton," "Fishnet Stockings," "Built For Speed," and "Stampede" to make regular appearances throughout the run.

Their most recent studio album is 40, released in May 2019 via Surfdog Records. It was their first new album in 26 years and featured standout tracks such as "Cat Fight (Over a Dog Like Me)," "Cry Danger" and "Rock It Off." The album delivered tightly wound riff-driven rockabilly that aligned perfectly with their signature style.

The 2026 Cross-Country Summer Tour is especially meaningful because it follows Brian Setzer's health recovery, making these shows a genuine celebration of the band's resilience and enduring chemistry. Unlike the fall 2025 run, which focused on intimate indoor casino venues, the summer 2026 dates expand to a broader mix of performing arts centers, theaters, and amphitheaters across more regions of the country. It's the most extensive The Stray Cats U.S. run in several years and a rare opportunity to see the original trio performing with the full energy of a band that has nothing left to prove.

The Stray Cats are widely credited with reigniting rockabilly music for mainstream audiences in the early 1980s, blending the sounds of 1950s legends like Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent with a flashy, tattooed visual style that felt fresh and urgent. Their 1982 U.S. compilation Built for Speed hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200, powered by enduring hits like "Stray Cat Strut" and "Rock This Town." "Rock This Town" has since been recognized by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as one of the 500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll, cementing the band's place in the canon.
