About All Time Low
All Time Low is a pop punk band formed in 2003 in Towson, Maryland by high school friends Alex Gaskarth, Jack Barakat, Rian Dawson and Zack Merrick. The group started by covering punk and emo bands like Blink-182 before writing their own songs and gaining a local following. Their early EPs, including The Three Words to Remember in Dealing with the End, helped them land a deal with Hopeless Records while still in high school. They released their debut full-length album, The Party Scene, in 2005, setting the stage for a steady rise in the pop punk scene.
Their breakthrough came with the 2007 album So Wrong, It's Right, featuring fan-favorite "Dear Maria, Count Me In," which later became a pop punk anthem and even went viral on TikTok years later. They solidified their place in the genre with subsequent albums like Nothing Personal (2009), which debuted in the Billboard Top 10, and Dirty Work (2011). Known for their energetic live shows and humorous personalities, All Time Low became Warped Tour staples and toured with other major pop punk acts such as Fall Out Boy and Paramore.
One of their biggest commercial successes came in 2020 with the single "Monsters" (featuring blackbear), which topped Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart for a record-breaking 18 weeks. It marked a resurgence in their mainstream popularity and introduced the band to a new generation of fans. Despite nearly two decades in the industry, All Time Low has maintained their signature blend of catchy hooks, punk edge and heartfelt lyrics—earning them a loyal fanbase and continued relevance in pop punk’s ever-evolving landscape.
