Located in the heart of Indiana, Indianapolis is probably best known for the Indy 500, which brings in hundreds of thousands of NASCAR fans annually. But the motor speedway isn’t the only large-scale venue for sports and entertainment in this Midwestern city. Lucas Oil Stadium - home of the Indianapolis Colts - holds concerts year-round, similarly to Bankers Life Fieldhouse, where the Indiana Pacers play during basketball season. This under-the-radar tourist destination is also the perfect spot for families, as it boasts the world’s largest children’s museum and the state’s largest zoo.
