Bane is an American hardcore punk band from Worcester, Massachusetts. Originally formed in 1995, the project began as “Gateway” when guitarist Aaron Dalbec (then of Converge) teamed up with vocalist Aaron Bedard to record a demo. They released several early EPs before solidifying a full band lineup, including guitarist Zach Jordan and bassist Pete Chilton, and quickly built a reputation for their impassioned, community-focused straight-edge-inspired hardcore.

Bane's most recent full-length album is Don’t Wait Up, released May 13, 2014 via Equal Vision Records—remarkably their first studio album in nine years. More recently, they released the previously limited EP collection Boston 6:58 PM on June 13, 2025, making these long-scarce tracks available digitally and on vinyl; it’s often treated as a fresh release in their discography. Additionally, their debut album It All Comes Down to This received a fully remixed and remastered 25th‑anniversary edition in 2024.
