Jon Randall rocks the masses (Created June 13, 2013)
Jon Randall has always done things his own way. The famed producer and DJ has played for small crowds, and he's entertained the masses. But the one thing that has remained consistent for the better part of nearly two decades is that ever-evolving sound and infectious energy he brings to the table.
Just ask the listeners who have followed Jon from the very beginning. A DJ since 1996, he kick-started his career by playing at many of the UK's biggest dance clubs, including Camden Palace and Magna. He became known for a fusion of Breakbeat, House, Techno and Progressive House – a style so unique it ultimately won him a global audience.
Early on, Jon also became king of the renowned Intec Records empire, taking the reigns on behalf of Carl Cox and subsequently guiding the label in a new direction. Behind the scenes, he also had the backing of veterans like Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Ben Sims, Adam Beyer, Nic Fancuilli and Joris Vorn (just to name a few). The culmination of that hard work and support came in the summer of 2011 when Jon's Intec release "Knick Knack" bounced the Mark Knight remix of Florence & The Machine's cover of "You Got The Love" out of the coveted No. 1 spot for six weeks.
If you've seen Jon live, what you've seen is adaptable DJ always moving to the beat, reacting and responding to his crowd. He has performed at Matter in London, Koko, Air, Sankeys, Privilege and Space in Ibiza, LeShowcase in Paris, Fabrik in Madrid… and the list goes on. His festival appearances also include Global Gathering, Dancevalley, Big Day Out, Future Music Festival, Ultra Music Festival, and many others.
Still one of the busiest men in show business, keep your ear to the ground to find out where he'll be appearing next.
