SeatGeek Taps Hospitality and Tech Veteran David Adelman as EVP of Clients & Partners

March 31st, 2025

NEW YORK, NY—March 31, 2025—SeatGeek, the high-growth technology platform transforming the live event experience for fans, teams, and venues, today announced the hiring of David Adelman as EVP of Clients & Partners. In this role, Adelman will oversee SeatGeek's post-sale ecosystem of teams, leagues, and professional sellers.

Adelman brings two decades of experience driving growth and innovation at the intersection of technology, hospitality, and experiences. He joins SeatGeek from Toast, the cloud-based restaurant management software company, where he led Business Development and Professional Services through a period of rapid expansion, playing a key role in the company’s IPO and public company growth. Prior to Toast, he held executive roles at Via, helping transform the company into a global transportation technology leader. Earlier in his career he was a management consultant at Bain & Company and private equity investor at Charlesbank Capital Partners.

In his new role, Adelman will oversee SeatGeek's relationships with some of the most iconic names in sports and entertainment—including teams and venues across the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, EPL, MLB, NCAA, PGA, and LPGA for which they manage primary box office operations or serve as the official secondary marketplace. He reports to Russ D'Souza, SeatGeek's Co-Founder and President of Supply, joining an executive team that includes Jeff Ianello, EVP of North American Sales, and Mike Shane, EVP of Enterprise Partnerships.

“David brings a rare combination of strategic vision, operational rigor, and deep empathy for clients,” said D’Souza. “He’s scaled high-performing teams, transformed service organizations into growth engines, and built lasting partnerships. His leadership will further enhance the way we partner with clients to help them drive business growth and deepen fan engagement.”

Adelman will serve as a key voice representing client needs across SeatGeek's Product, R&D, and Executive teams as the company continues to expand its impressive roster of clients across major sports franchises, leagues, and entertainment venues.

“From the moment I met the team at SeatGeek, I was struck by the clarity of their mission—to start with fans—and the passion they bring to building a better experience for everyone in the live event ecosystem,” said Adelman. “As a fan, a user, and a parent of two boys who love going to games as much as I do, I couldn’t be more excited to help shape the future of live entertainment with SeatGeek’s incredible team and partners.”

Adelman is based in Arlington, VA. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor's degree from Harvard University, and proudly serves on the Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the National Capital Area.
