The B-52s Tickets

The B-52s's 1979 debut album introduced classics like “Rock Lobster,” “Planet Claire” and “Dance This Mess Around.” “Rock Lobster” became a surprise hit and even inspired John Lennon. In 1989, they released Cosmic Thing, featuring major anthems “Love Shack” and “Roam,” which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and helped the album go quadruple platinum. Despite suffering the loss of founding guitarist Ricky Wilson in 1985, the band regrouped and continued their mainstream resurgence

The B‑52s were trailblazers of the new wave movement, melding surf rock, camp kitsch and punk elements, distinguished by their thrift-store style and inclusive ethos. Often mistaken for a novelty act, they were purely serious about creative expression. Their blend of humor, retro flair and queer-friendly vibe left a lasting impact on pop culture. They’ve been nominated for multiple Grammys and remain celebrated for their pioneering style and enduring party spirit.

The B‑52s are an American new wave/dance‑rock band formed in Athens, Georgia in 1976. The classic lineup includes Kate Pierson, Fred Schneider, Cindy Wilson and Keith Strickland (after Ricky Wilson’s passing in 1985). They rose to fame with irreverent hits like Rock Lobster, Planet Claire, Private Idaho, Love Shack and Roam, and are known for quirky, energetic performances blending camp, punk, and pop sensibilities.

The Cosmic De-Evolution Tour is continuing in 2026, with The B-52s and Devo announcing eight new U.S. dates in June 2026. The new leg kicks off September 17 in Tinley Park, Illinois, extending what began as a fall 2025 co-headlining run into a second year of shows. The party, as the band themselves put it, is not over.

DJ Cummerbund is joining The B-52s and Devo as a special guest on the 2026 continuation of the Cosmic De-Evolution Tour. The original 2025 run featured New Wave icon Lene Lovich, best known for her hit "Lucky Number," as the opening act, while this new leg brings a different supporting presence to the already stacked co-headlining bill.

Based on their recent touring history, The B-52s are expected to draw from across their catalog on the Cosmic De-Evolution Tour, with anthems like "Love Shack," "Rock Lobster," "Roam," "Private Idaho," "Planet Claire" and "Dance This Mess Around" all likely to feature. Setlists can vary from night to night, so each show offers its own mix of the band's beloved catalog.

The B-52s' most recent studio album is Funplex, released in 2008. They have not issued a full-length record since then. Prior studio albums include Cosmic Thing from 1989 and Good Stuff from 1992.

The 2026 extension of the Cosmic De-Evolution Tour adds eight new U.S. shows to a run that originally launched in fall 2025 with eleven North American dates. The new leg features DJ Cummerbund as a special guest rather than 2025 opener Lene Lovich, giving the tour a refreshed supporting lineup as The B-52s and Devo extend their co-headlining partnership into a second consecutive year.
