The Lumineers are an American folk-rock / Americana band co-founded by singer/guitarist Wesley Schultz and multi-instrumentalist Jeremiah Fraites. The duo began writing music together in the early 2000s, originally under various band names while they experimented with different styles and played small gigs. Over time they refined their sound and settled on “The Lumineers” — a name that stuck after a show where they were mistakenly introduced as such.

The Lumineers' most recent album is Automatic, released on February 14, 2025. This is their fifth studio album. The record was produced quickly — tracked in less than a month — and reflects the duo’s 20 years of songwriting together. The songs explore themes like reality versus illusion, emotional numbness, and modern life’s overload, staying true to the band’s trademark mix of introspective lyrics and melodic, heartfelt folk-rock.
