In more recent years, Rector released The Joy of Music in 2022, a project that features collaborations with artists like Snoop Dogg, Kenny G, and Dave Koz, and marked a creative expansion of his sound. He has toured extensively, headlining amphitheaters, and recast his live shows through acoustic and symphonic formats (such as The Old Friends Acoustic Tour).
