About Big Gigantic
A Big Gigantic success
Big Gigantic has been one huge success. This instrumental 'livetronica' of hip-hop and jazz has played some of the largest music festivals in the world, and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
Consisting of drummer Jeremy Salken and saxophonist and producer Dominic Lalli, Big Gigantic has blazed a trail from Boulder, Colorado with its huge beats and baselines, quickly taking over the festival circuit and compiling a resume that would impress even the most hardened critic. We're talking Bonnaroo, the Firefly Music Festival, Camp Bisco, Wakarusa, Ultra Music Festival, Electric Forest Festival, Mountain Jam, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Gathering of the Vibes, SummerSet, Voodoo Festival and so many, many more.
From 2009 through 2012, Big Gigantic has released three albums – "Fire It Up," "A Place Behind the Moon" and "Nocturnal." The continued development of their sound has led to thousands upon thousands of downloads of their online material, and constantly leaves fans wanting more. In fact, their dynamic live performance is what pushed their name into the upper echelon of talent, thanks to an ever-evolving stage design and production.
Big Gigantic's newest album release, "The Night is Young," only further illustrates their ability to tackle any style of music. It's got a healthy amount of dubstep, bass, a touch of trap, still harnesses elements of jazz and fuses everything with touches of hip-hip to create one high-energy track after another.
Be sure to get out on the road and see Big Gigantic throw a party in 2014. Their calendar is booked through November and includes dates at The Hudson Project, The Peach Music Festival and five days at the Mad Decent Boat Party.
