The tournament’s fantastic four? Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio State and UCLA. The college basketball blood couldn’t get any bluer in this event, and the competition is as fierce as it comes.

There isn’t a tourney winner in this one – it’s just a terrific college hoops doubleheader, with the four teams playing a round-robin schedule every three seasons.

The CBS Sports Classic was first held at Chicago’s United Center in 2014, and spent the next three seasons in Las Vegas, Brooklyn and New Orleans. Organizers agreed to return to Chicago in 2018.

One of the highest-ranked pairings in the event was the matchup between No. 6 Kentucky and No. 7 North Carolina in 2016. The game lived up to its hype, with Kentucky winning by a 103-100 margin. Freshman Malik Monk scored 47 points to lead the Wildcats.

Kentucky was also the author of one of the event’s biggest blowouts, beating UCLA 83-44 in 2014.
