About John Fogerty Tickets
John Fogerty is an American rock singer, songwriter and guitarist best known as the voice, lead guitarist and principal creative force behind Creedence Clearwater Revival. Born in Berkeley, California and raised in the Bay Area, Fogerty got started in music as a teenager in 1959 when he formed the Blue Velvets with schoolmates Stu Cook and Doug Clifford, later joined by his brother Tom Fogerty. After recording under the name the Golliwogs, the band became Creedence Clearwater Revival and developed a timeless swamp-rock sound rooted in blues, country, rockabilly, R&B and Southern rock.
John Fogerty’s career highlights include writing and singing some of the most enduring songs in American rock, including “Proud Mary,” “Fortunate Son,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Green River,” “Who’ll Stop the Rain,” “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” and “Down on the Corner.” With Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty helped deliver a remarkable run of hit singles and gold albums between 1968 and 1972, then launched a solo career that produced favorites such as “Centerfield,” “The Old Man Down the Road” and “Rock and Roll Girls.” His music remains central to classic rock, roots rock and Americana because of its sharp songwriting, gritty guitar tone and working-class storytelling.
John Fogerty’s legacy includes a Grammy Award, induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, a Hollywood Walk of Fame star, a Baseball Hall of Fame honor for “Centerfield” and major songwriting honors including the 2026 Johnny Mercer Award. His latest album, Legacy: The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years, was released in 2025 and features newly recorded versions of classic songs from his CCR catalog after he regained ownership of those rights. In 2026, Fogerty continues celebrating that catalog on the Legacy Tour with special guest Steve Winwood, bringing two Rock & Roll Hall of Fame artists together for a North American run.
