Logic Details
Born in 1990 and raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Sir Robert Bryson "Bobby" Hall II, better known by his stage name, "Logic", is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer. While Logic did not have the most perfect childhood, he's turned his hardships into successful and inspirational rap records.
In December 2010, Logic released his first official mixtape, "Young, Broke & Infamous". Not long after, the young rapper was signed to Visionary Music Group. Then, in 2011, Logic put forth his second mixtape, "Young Sinatra". Sinatra served as an idol for Logic as he was growing up and he has since strived to model his own style after him.
In April of 2013, Logic joined the ranks of Kanye West, Leona Lewis, Ludacris, and more when he was co-signed to Def Jam Recordings. From there, his career really took off and he produced several hits, aiming to create a social impact. In fact, he worked with Alessia Cara and Khalid to create the song, "1-800-273-8255." The number is the actual phone number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and the song encourages listeners to stay strong, reach out for help, and be thankful to be alive. The organization reports that it received the "second highest daily call volume in its history" the day Logic's song was released.
Logic's fanbase is youthful and widespread. He offers inspiring words to others around him and he's quick to give thanks to those who have supported him along the way. He once tweeted, "I just want to say how much I love you as my fans! Growing with you has been amazing. And you're why I do this. To create any kind of music I want, from boom bap to the turn up to the radio has been such a blessing! Thanks for letting me be me and supporting me always."
In 2017, Logic started his own record label called Team Elysium. In 2018, Logic was nominated for two Grammy Awards including, Song of the Year and Best Music Video for his hit, "1-800-273-8255."
