About Lykke Li
Credit the Internet with another big find in the indie music world. Lykke Li Zachrisson, better known as Lykke Li, came to the attention of international bloggers in the early 2000s and watched her fan base explode thanks to a handful of singles posted to her MySpace profile.
Everyone who wanted a "Little Bit" of Lykee Li got a whole lot more with the release of her bass-heavy electro dance debut EP, 2007's "Little Bit," on her own LL recordings. The track not only generated a ton of buzz online, it was covered extensively by the mainstream Swedish music press as well. In no time she was taking the stage at the Swedish MTV Awards, and her video for "Little Bit" was ultimately nominated for a Swedish Grammy Award.
Li's full debut album, 2008's "Youth Novels" only served to increase her visibility, not to mention her international fan base. She sold out tour date after tour date, including sets at huge festivals like Coachella, Glastonbury and Lollapalooza. The momentum pushed her to her 2011 sophomore effort, "Wounded Rhymes," which was a critical darling and commercial success. The disc also spawned a tour across Europe and North America that year, including stops at Pukkelpop in Belgium and Helsinki's famed Flow Festival.
In 2013 Li contributed vocals to David Lynch's album "The Big Dream," and in May of 2014 released her third album, "I Never Learn." The project features singles "Love Me Like I'm Not Made of Stone" and "No Rest for the Wicked" (which was also remixed with ASAP Rocky).
