About Mana Tickets
Maná is one of the most influential and successful Latin rock bands of all time, hailing from Guadalajara, Mexico. The band originally formed in the early 1980s under the name Sombrero Verde, but after limited success, they rebranded as Maná in 1986. The founding members—Fher Olvera (vocals), Alex González (drums), Juan Calleros (bass), and later Sergio Vallín (guitar)—blended elements of rock, pop, and traditional Latin music to craft a unique sound that resonated across Latin America and beyond. Their breakthrough came with the 1992 album ¿Dónde Jugarán los Niños?, which sold millions of copies and solidified their status as global stars.
Over the decades, Maná has enjoyed an illustrious career marked by chart-topping albums, sold-out world tours, and numerous awards. They've won multiple Latin Grammy and Grammy Awards, and are widely credited with bringing Latin rock to a mainstream international audience. Albums like Sueños Líquidos (1997), Revolución de Amor (2002) and Amar es Combatir (2006) continued their commercial and critical success, showcasing their lyrical range—from love ballads to socially conscious anthems tackling environmental issues, indigenous rights and political injustice.
Beyond their music, Maná has become known for their activism. They founded the Selva Negra Foundation in the 1990s to support environmental and social causes throughout Latin America. In 2018, they were honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a testament to their cultural impact and enduring legacy. With a career spanning over four decades, Maná remains a powerhouse in Latin music, continually inspiring new generations with their passion, message and signature sound.
