SeatGeek and Yahoo Sports Renew Ticket Commerce Partnership

Yahoo Sports will integrate SeatGeek into a number of new platforms

NEW YORK, NY (August 15, 2019) -- SeatGeek today announced the renewal of its partnership with Yahoo Sports, the mobile home for sports fans and part of Verizon Media’s house of brands. The new multi-year deal will give Yahoo Sports fans the ability to seamlessly discover and purchase tickets, including new and optimized product integrations across the Yahoo Sports and Yahoo Fantasy platforms, mobile apps and more.

“By expanding upon our successful partnership with SeatGeek, we’ll enhance our uniquely immersive experience on mobile for sports fans,” said Geoff Reiss, GM of Yahoo Sports, part of Verizon Media. “With even more product integrations across the platform and unique content from SeatGeek, we’ll meet fans where they are and give them a seamless ticket experience.”

The alliance marks an expansion of the groundbreaking 2011 partnership that SeatGeek and Yahoo Sports launched. As a result, the partnership has driven a seamless user experience allowing millions of sports fans to purchase tickets to games year-round.

“When we started working with Yahoo Sports back in 2011 it was one of the first examples in our industry of high-quality contextual commerce, giving sports fans the ability to buy in just a few clicks,” said Lee Moulton, SeatGeek’s director of partnerships. “We are really excited to take the next step with the Verizon Media team to continue to improve the fan experience.”
