Will the real Rod Stewart please stand up?

At least two phony Red Steward lookalikes sporting spiked blonde hair have been spotted in New York City and Miami, and they're reportedly fooling star-struck fans and business owners into thinking they are the real deal.

One of the men in question is being dubbed 'The bogus Brit,' and has been spotted riding the subway, partying the night away in the Meatpacking District and had even crashed gatherings held during the World Cup, according to PageSix.com. The Internet site even says that the fake Rod was being showered with free cocktails and meals all over Manhattan.

Instagram users have since dubbed the aforementioned impostor as 'Rockaway Rod' because of all his New York City cameos. The impostors have become so common lately that Stewart's longtime manager is now warning fans and business owners to be aware of the man pretending to be the aging rocker.

Stewart recently announced a place where no fraudsters have popped up – yet. He'll be taking his Hits tour around Australia next March and April. "It's something that can't go on forever obviously, but I am booked all the way through 2015," Stewart recently told the media.

"I've got the energy, the voice is in good stead, the people are still coming out to see me which I very much appreciate. And I'm still enjoying it." Fans in the U.S. can still get their Rod Steward tickets for his shows at Ceasar's Palace in Las Vegas through mid-February 2015.

Rod Stewart really felt at home for the holidays as 2012 came to a close. On November 26 his recording of "Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" climbed to the top of the Billboard Adult Contemporary Chart, marking his first No. 1 since 1993's "Have I Told You Lately." The nearly 20-year gap was the second-longest hiatus between number ones in the history of the chart, and sure gave Stewart a reason to celebrate the season.

If Stewart wasn't feeling jolly enough with his No. 1 charting, he appeared as a guest singer on Michael Buble's network television "Home for the Holidays" Christmas special on December 10. It was the perfect way to round out a year that saw Stewart rank as the tenth best-selling artist in Canada according to year-end sales data from Nielsen Soundscan.

And Stewart's start to 2013? He was promptly nominated for a Canadian Juno Award in February in the International Album of the Year category for his album, "Merry Christmas, Baby." Several months later he released "Time," a rock album of his own original material. It marked a return to songwriting following what Stewart called "a dark period for twenty years." The project entered the UK Albums Chart at No. 1, setting a new British record for the longest gap between chart-topping albums by an artist (going all the way back to his "Greatest Hits Volume 1" in 1979 and his last studio album, 1976's "A Night on the Town.")

Stewart recently presented Sir Elton John with the first Brits Icon award in a special show at the London Palladium, and is currently out on tour through mid-December.
