One of music’s great icons is ready to call it quits. Almost.

Elton John has announced that he’ll be retiring from the road–after performing 300 shows all over the world over the next three years. Dubbed the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, catch John in North America starting on September 8 at the PPL Center in Allentown, PA. The singer will make multiple stops at cities all around the U.S. and Canada, stretching into early 2019.

After that he’ll head to Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, Europe (again), before making his way back to the states for one final leg. I’m exhausted just thinking about it.

Of the retirement, John told CNN’s Anderson Cooper: “My priorities have changed in my life… My priorities now are my children, my husband, my family. I thought the time is right to say thank you to my fans and say goodbye… I’m not going to say I’m retiring and then do a world tour. I’m not Cher.”

You can also catch John starting next month when he kicks off the final shows of his Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace.

Tickets to the first leg of Elton John’s final tour go on sale February 2 via Ticketmaster. More info below.
