Great Customer Service
I tested positive for Covid one day before I was scheduled to see a show I had been looking forward to for a long time. I called support and at 10 pm on a Monday they were able to transfer my tickets to the same seats the following month, to a date of my choosing. They coordinated with the box office and sent me follow ups every step of the way. Thanks Ash at Seat Geek!Jul 9

About Cat Stevens
Cat Stevens, born Steven Demetre Georgiou in London in 1948, began his musical journey in the vibrant British folk and pop scene of the 1960s. Initially performing under his birth name and later as "Cat Stevens," he gained early fame with his 1967 debut album Matthew and Son, which featured catchy pop hits and established him as a rising star. However, a serious bout with tuberculosis in 1969 became a turning point in his life and career. During his recovery, Stevens began exploring deeper spiritual themes and reinvented his musical style, shifting from commercial pop to introspective folk rock.
The 1970s marked the height of Stevens’ fame, with a series of critically acclaimed and commercially successful albums like Tea for the Tillerman and Teaser and the Firecat. Songs such as “Wild World,” “Father and Son,” “Moonshadow” and “Peace Train” became anthems of a generation, blending thoughtful lyrics with gentle melodies. His ability to write music that was both personal and universal earned him a devoted international fan base and cemented his place in the singer-songwriter pantheon of the era. His work often grappled with questions of purpose, peace and personal transformation, setting him apart in a crowded musical landscape.
In 1977, Stevens underwent another major transformation when he converted to Islam and changed his name to Yusuf Islam. He stepped away from the music industry for nearly three decades to focus on education, philanthropy and interfaith work. In the 2000s, he returned to music under the name Yusuf / Cat Stevens, releasing new material that echoed the themes of peace and spirituality that had always defined his work. His enduring influence is felt in generations of artists who cite him as an inspiration for his heartfelt songwriting and unwavering commitment to authenticity.
