Cleveland Cavaliers Details
The Cleveland Cavaliers are a team with an interesting playoff history, one that started out quietly but grew in stature quickly thanks to the arrival of one of the best players to ever play the sport. Now Cleveland can claim that they have been an NBA champion, and have taken part in one of the great rivalries in the history of the NBA playoffs.
That elite player, of course, is LeBron James, who led the Cavaliers to numerous NBA Finals appearances during his time with the team. James was a franchise-changing talent from the moment he started his pro career, as he got the Cavaliers to the playoffs in nearly every season he spent playing for the Cavs. During his first run in Cleveland, James almost single-handedly took the Cavs to the Finals, putting on legendary performance after legendary performance deep into the postseason.
But nothing compares to the run of Finals appearances that James led the Cavaliers to from 2015 to 2018. James and stars like Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love made for a team that was good enough to give James a breather once in a while, but also featured a roster where James could take over when he needed to do so.
Cleveland faced the Golden State Warriors in all four of those Finals appearances, with the team winning the championship in 2016 thanks to an amazing blocked shot by James in the final moments of game seven, before Kyrie Irving hit an isolation three-point shot to put the Cavs ahead for good. The win stunned the crowd in Golden State’s Oracle Arena, and fulfilled LeBron’s promise to “win one for The Land” when he agreed to rejoin the Cavs.
The rivalry with the Warriors is one that will be talked about for generations to come, as legends of the game like LeBron took on Golden State stars like Steph Curry and Kevin Durant, with many of the best players from this generation deciding who would win the title each year for four straight seasons.
When Do Cavaliers Playoff Tickets Go On Sale?
Tickets to see the Cleveland Cavaliers in the playoffs tend to go on sale when the team is confirmed as an entrant in the NBA Playoffs. When exactly that will be depends on how the Cavs are doing relative to the rest of the Eastern Conference. Generally speaking, playoff tickets usually go on sale in late March or early April as the regular season is winding down.
How Much Do Cavaliers Playoff Tickets Cost?
Cavs playoff tickets cost an average of $163 on the secondary market. But the price of each individual ticket can vary based on factors such as how good the team is on a given year, as well as what round of the playoffs the tickets are for and where fans want to sit. More often than not, seats closer to the court are more expensive than seats in the upper levels of the arena, while tickets to the later rounds of the playoffs are usually more expensive than early round action.
