Communications Coordinator
As a communications coordinator at SeatGeek, you’ll be instrumental in telling our story and growing awareness of SeatGeek as the best live events platform in the world for fans, teams, artists and venues. You’ll work on everything from ideating to press release writing, working with employees throughout the company to shape the future of live events in the press.

You’re creative, a strong writer, and an excellent storyteller. You want to be involved in announcing SeatGeek’s news from start to finish, and know the media landscape well enough to maximize exposure. You are a quick and hungry learner who wants to work in a fast-moving organization that believes in the power of the pen (or rather, keyboard). You are well organized and analytical, and a live event lover.

What You'll Do

You are a key contributor to shaping the perception of SeatGeek in the public. Tasks will include:

  • Working with and assisting reporters in telling the SeatGeek story
  • Writing press releases and other external-facing communications, taking on the voice of the SeatGeek corporate brand
  • Brainstorming ways to capture the public’s attention
  • Tracking and measuring coverage around SeatGeek announcements
  • Proactively identifying and executing new communications opportunities that are consistent with SeatGeek’s brand position & strategy
  • Building reporter databases and pitching them on appropriate topics
  • Growing the public’s love and appreciation of live events

Who you are:

  • You’re a writer or communications professional with 1-3 years of experience. You are well-versed in the following skills, and eager to learn any that are new to you
  • Incredibly strong writer and communicator
  • Strong storytelling skills
  • Research experience and an eye for detail
  • Experience working with press and an understanding of the media landscape
  • A hunger and openness to learn new skills
  • Basic analytical capabilities
  • An interest in, and basic understanding of, the live events space
