Sombr (born Shane Michael Boose, July 5, 2005) is a New York City–based singer-songwriter who began making music during the pandemic in his teenage bedroom. A classically trained vocal student at LaGuardia High School, he dropped out at 17 to pursue music full-time. He adopted the stage name “Sombr” (a play on his initials, SMB) and released his debut single “Nothing Left to Say” in late 2021.. Sombr's debut studio album, I Barely Know Her, was released on August 22, 2025, via Warner Records and his imprint SMB. The album, co-produced with Tony Berg, includes singles such as “Back to Friends”, “Undressed," “We Never Dated” and “12 to 12." It showcases Sombr’s evolution from intimate bedroom pop toward a more dynamic indie-rock and alt-pop sound.
