Nationals Park was opened in 2008, when the Washington Nationals began play in Washington D.C., following their move from Montreal where they played as the Expos. The park is home to only the Nationals, who play in Major League Baseball's National League East division. In the baseball world, Nationals Park played host to a piece of baseball history, as legendary starting pitcher Randy Johnson earned his 300th win as a member of the San Francisco Giants in a 5-1 win over the Nationals. The Stadium has also played host to one of the more fun traditions in recent sporting history, the 2015 Winter Classic between the Washington Capitals and the Chicago Blackhawks, in a contest that the Capitals won 3-2.
