There's a reason people rearrange their entire summer around a Phish tour. Over four decades of improvisational brilliance, Trey Anastasio, Mike Gordon, Page McConnell and Jon Fishman have built something that transcends a typical concert with every show is a one-of-a-kind event. Fresh off a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nomination and a Riviera Maya run that featured a record-breaking 40-minute "A Song I Heard The Ocean Sing," the band is clearly playing at a peak.

The "Phish Summer Tour 2026" spans from July through September with a 21-date run across the U.S. that's capped with the band's traditional Labor Day weekend closer. Here's what you need to know about Phish's "Summer Tour 2026."

The five MSG dates are non-consecutive (July 22, 24, 25, 27 and 29), with off-days built in. The Kohl Center opener marks the band's first appearance at that Madison, Wisconsin venue since a memorable one-off debut in November 1998. The two-night Fenway Park run brings Phish back to the legendary ballpark for the first time in seven years.

When is the presale for Phish's 2026 tour?

Phish handles presales differently than most touring acts. The band's primary presale method is a ticket lottery run through their official website, where you submit requests for specific dates during a set window. Receiving tickets through the lottery is not guaranteed, and results are typically emailed after the request period closes.

Various venue and promoter presales may also become available in the days leading up to the general onsale. You can check SeatGeek for the latest ticket availability as dates approach, including for the two-night run at Fenway Park.

When do Phish 2026 tickets go on sale?

There are several ways to try and score tickets to Phish's 2026 summer tour. Pay attention to their unique presale process, which differs from standard concert presales.

Ticket request registration

Registration for the Phish ticket lottery for the summer tour is currently underway through the band's official site. Registration closes at 12:00 PM ET on Monday, February 23. Registrants will be notified of their ticket status via email by 11:59 PM ET on Wednesday, February 25. While this isn’t a typical coded presale — it is the main early access method they offer.

Onsale information

The onside for Phish's 2026 summer tour begins on Friday, February 27 at 10:00 AM local time.

Additional ticket advice

Given the high demand across this schedule, many shows are expected to move quickly. You can track ticket availability and set price alerts on SeatGeek to stay ahead of the curve, whether you're looking for primary tickets during the onsale or for resale options.

When does Phish's 2026 tour start?

“Phish Summer Tour 2026” officially begins on Tuesday, July 7, with a show at Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin.

When does Phish's 2026 tour end?

The final show of the "Phish Summer Tour 2026" is Sunday, September 6 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado. The three-night Labor Day weekend run (September 4–6) is a beloved Phish tradition, and this year's return will bring the band's total show count at Dick's to 45.

Does Phish have any other 2026 shows outside of the Summer Tour dates?

Yes. In addition to the “Phish Summer Tour 2026” run, the band is also playing a nine-night residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, with shows on April 16, 17, 18; April 23, 24, 25; and April 30, May 1 and 2, 2026.

What to expect at a Phish show

If you've never seen Phish live, the format alone sets it apart. The band plays two full sets plus an encore with no opening act, delivering 2.5 to 3+ hours of music per night. Every setlist is different, and the band never repeats a song across multi-night runs at the same venue.

Heavy improvisation is the backbone of every performance. Extended jams can stretch songs well beyond their studio versions, and the spontaneous song selection means you genuinely don't know what's coming next. Lighting director Chris Kuroda's legendary light show adds another dimension to the experience, and the Sphere dates will take production to an entirely different level with the venue's immersive 360-degree visuals and spatial audio.

Plan to arrive early. The parking lot scene before a Phish show is an experience in itself, with a communal atmosphere that's been a hallmark of the band's culture for decades. Merch lines tend to be long, so consider shopping early or during setbreak. Shows typically start around 7:00–7:30 p.m. and rarely wrap up before 11:00 p.m.
