Get Saved at the Russell Brand “Messiah Complex” Tour
Russell Brand Tour
Russell Brand has a number of labels to his name. A native of Great Britain, Brand has made his mark as an eccentric and sometimes shocking comic, an actor, a television host, and even the paparazzi’s favorite husband during his brief but well-documented marriage to US pop star Katy Perry. He’s taken it upon himself to add another title to his business card for the 2013 Russell Brand Tour: Messiah Complex. Brand has a bit more free time on his hand now that FX cancelled his most recent television project, Brand X, so he will bring the tour to three continents with announced dates in the US, United Arab Emirates, and finishing in the UK.

Now obviously (or is it?) Brand doesn’t fancy himself your Lord and Savior. Instead, it looks like he’s going to build his act around his big personality and the disorder that could befall it and him; it’s unconfirmed, but the Russell Brand tour poster states the shows will also be featuring the likes of Christ, Gandhi, Che Guevara, Malcom X, and Hitler. Imagine those guys trying to work out who gets top billing on the theater marquee! Brand, known to most US fans before his FX show via roles in Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek (with Diddy!), will now look to further his fan base with his stand-up act; this is his first new stand-up material since his 2011 DVD, Live in New York City. More international dates may be in the works, so check back with SeatGeek for the latest Russell Brand news and scheduled shows!
