Aaron Rodgers spent the first 18 years of his legendary career with the Green Bay Packers before he was traded to the New York Jets in the 2023 offseason. After two seasons with the Jets, he’s had a rejuvenated first campaign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, leading them to a 4-2 start for the 2025-26 NFL season.
The Steelers will look to bounce back from a Week 7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, as they’ll host the Packers at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday night. This will be Rodgers’ first meeting against his former team, and predictably this matchup is a hot ticket on SeatGeek—especially with both the Packers and Steelers in first place in their respective divisions.
The average resale ticket price for Packers vs. Steelers at SeatGeek is currently $552. That is the fourth-highest amount for any game so far during the 2025-26 NFL season. The season opener between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles takes the top spot at $856. Next is a Week 8 matchup between the Cowboys and Denver Broncos ($602), followed by Cowboys at the Chicago Bears ($574) back in Week 3.
Rodgers against the Packers is one of the most notable potential revenge games in recent NFL history. Tom Brady Buccaneers at Patriots (Oct. 3, 2021): $876
The stakes don’t get much higher for a regular season game, as Brady and the Buccaneers traveled to Foxborough to face his former team and former coach Bill Belichick. Brady won six Super Bowls with New England before he left the team due to reported tension with Belichick, and ended up signing with the Buccaneers ahead of the 2020-21 season.
Brady won his seventh Super Bowl with the Buccaneers in his first season in Tampa Bay and got to play the Patriots the following campaign—which came in Week 4 of the 2021-22 season.
Not only did this monster affair have the highest average resale ticket price for the 2021-22 regular season at $876, it’s actually the highest average resale ticket price of any regular season game in the past five years at SeatGeek. Brady got the last laugh in this contest, as the Buccaneers picked up the 19-17 win over the Patriots.
Russell Wilson Broncos at Seahawks (Sept. 12, 2022): $485
Russell Wilson was acquired by the Broncos in a blockbuster trade with the Seahawks in the 2022 offseason after his first 10 NFL seasons in Seattle included a Super Bowl win and nine Pro Bowls. In Wilson’s first game with his new team, he had to face his former team in front of his former fan base in primetime on Monday night.
This marquee matchup had an average resale ticket price of $485. Seattle fans left Lumen Field in great spirits that night, as the Seahawks pulled off a dramatic 17-16 victory over Wilson and the Broncos. That contest finished with the ninth-highest average resale ticket price at SeatGeek for any regular season game during the 2022-23 season (if you’re curious, the top one for that regular season was $766 for 49ers at Raiders in Las Vegas on Jan. 1).
Micah Parsons Packers at Cowboys (Sept. 28, 2025): $383
Parsons emerged as one of the NFL’s top pass rushers in his first four seasons in Dallas. After Parsons and the Cowboys couldn’t agree to a contract extension, the Cowboys traded Parsons this past August to the Packers for Kenny Clark and two first-round draft picks.
Parsons got the chance to face his former team pretty quickly, when the Packers traveled to Dallas in Week 4 for a Sunday night battle at AT&T Stadium. The average resale ticket price for that showdown was $383, which ranks just outside of the top 25 for games this season.
Packers-Cowboys did have the second-most tickets sold on SeatGeek for any NFL game this season, though, only behind Week 7’s meeting between the Commanders and Cowboys in Dallas. In his revenge outing, Parsons did sack former teammate Dak Prescott, while the Packers and Cowboys ended up in a tie at 40 points apiece.
Saquon Barkley Eagles at Giants (Oct. 20, 2024): $338
It’s one thing to let a superstar walk, it’s another to see them leave for a rival. But that’s exactly what happened here, as Barkley signed a three-year deal with the Eagles in the 2024 offseason after he spent his first six NFL seasons with the Giants.
With the Eagles, Barkley will face his former team two times since Philadelphia and New York both reside in the NFC East. The first time Barkley played the Giants was in Week 7 of the 2024-25 season at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The average resale ticket price for this contest was $338. The Eagles pummeled the Giants 28-3, with Barkley running for 176 yards and a touchdown.
