Los Angeles Chargers fan guide: Best SoFi Stadium seats, food and more game tips

The Chargers know how to put on a show at SoFi Stadium.

Before kickoff, the video boards turn powder blue, lightning flashes across the Infinity Screen and thunder rolls through the building as the team gets ready to come out.

SoFi gives fans a lot to take in, from the giant screen overhead to how massive the stadium feels once you’re inside. And when the Chargers make a big play, it gets loud fast.

If you're making a trip out to Inglewood this NFL season, a little planning helps. So here is what to know before seeing a Chargers game at SoFi Stadium.

Ultimate guide to a Los Angeles Chargers game at SoFi Stadium

SoFi Stadium sits at the center of Hollywood Park in Inglewood, with American Airlines Plaza and YouTube Theater under the same canopy. The Kia Forum and Intuit Dome are nearby, so the whole area feels more like a sports and entertainment district than a standalone stadium.

The biggest thing to know before you go is that everything is spread out. The walk from parking or a shuttle stop to your gate can take longer than expected, and getting from one side of the stadium to the other is not always quick. Give yourself some extra time so you are not rushing once you arrive.

Getting to SoFi Stadium

If you are driving, sort out parking before you head to Inglewood.

SoFi parking is divided into color-coded zones, and your pass only works for the zone listed on it. Once you enter, you usually cannot switch to another area. Parking passes are mobile, so save yours to your phone before you leave. Spaces are generally filled as cars arrive rather than assigned ahead of time.

Do not count on street parking nearby. Event-day restrictions in the surrounding neighborhoods can lead to tickets or towing.

Public transit is another option. Metro riders can take the C or K Line to LAX/Metro Transit Center Station and connect to the NFL game-day shuttle. GTrans Line 7X, Torrance Transit and Culver CityBus Line 99 Express may also run for certain games.

For rideshare, drop-off is along Kareem Court. After the game, pickups are generally around Kareem Court and Manchester Boulevard. Expect crowds and a decent walk before you meet your driver.

What first-timers need to know before a Chargers game at SoFi Stadium

Before you head to your seat, check out the Hyundai Locker Room. The Chargers have a full-size replica of their locker room that fans can walk through, and some games also include alumni autograph sessions. It is one of the few stops at SoFi that feels completely tied to the team instead of the stadium.

Then take some time to look around once you get inside. The Infinity Screen gets most of the attention, and for good reason. It hangs over the field, wraps around both sides and is hard to stop looking at the first time you see it. The rest of SoFi is worth taking in too, especially the translucent canopy stretching over the stadium, American Airlines Plaza and YouTube Theater. You are under a roof, but it never really feels like you are indoors.

Before kickoff, make your way over to the Hyundai Pink Zone. It is the main tailgating area at SoFi, with grills, Chargers flags, powder-blue tents and groups setting up hours before the game. Even if you are not parking there, it is worth walking through just to see where a lot of the pregame crowd gathers.

Chargers game-day traditions

Get to your seat about 15 minutes before kickoff for Charge Up to Kickoff. The Chargers turn the pregame into a storm warning, with lightning on the Infinity Screen and thunder through the stadium before the team comes out. This is one tradition worth planning around rather than catching from the concourse.

Listen for the Chargers cannon too. The team has special guests fire its historical cannon at home games, with former players, local figures and other honorees taking part over the years.

You will also see Bolt Up throughout game day. It is the Chargers' rallying cry and one of the phrases the team uses most often to fire up the crowd.

Bolt Fam is what the Chargers call their fan community. You will hear it in stadium announcements and see it in team messaging, so if someone welcomes the Bolt Fam, they are talking about the Chargers fans in the building.

Best seats at SoFi Stadium for a Chargers game

SoFi has a lot of sections, so it helps to get the basic layout down first. The 100 Level puts you closest to the field, with a mix of club, VIP and regular seating around the lower bowl. The 200 Level sits just above it and includes many of the stadium’s club seats, while the 300 Level gives you a higher view of the field without sending you all the way to the top. The 400 and 500 Levels make up the upper deck.

Best premium seats

SoFi has plenty of premium seating, but there are a few options that are especially worth comparing for a Chargers game.

If you are ready for an unforgettable experience, Pechanga Founders Club and SoFi Social Club put you right down at field level. Pechanga sits behind the Chargers bench around VIP Sections 111 and 112, while SoFi Social Club is across the field behind the visiting bench near VIP Sections 131 and 132. Both include all-inclusive hospitality and access to patios just a few feet from the sideline. You are paying as much for the access and proximity as the view here.

For a premium experience at a more approachable price, TRD Pro Club and Gallagher Club are two of the best places to look. TRD Pro sits around VIP Sections 218 through 220 on the Chargers side, while Gallagher is across the field around VIP Sections 245 through 247. Both put you near midfield on the 200 Level, high enough to see every play unfold without feeling far from the field.

Best upper-level value

If you want to keep the price down without giving up a good view of the field, start in the middle of the 400 Level.

Sections 413 through 416 on the west side and 441 through 444 on the east side give you a solid sideline angle without putting you all the way at the top. If you want to go cheaper, the 500 Level is usually where you will find the lowest-priced traditional seats. Central sections like 513 through 515 and 539 through 541 are still worth a look because they keep you closer to midfield than the corner and end-zone sections.

The Infinity Screen helps a lot from up there too. Its outer panels face the upper levels, so replays and close-ups are easy to follow even from the highest seats.

Best seats for atmosphere

If you want the game to feel a little more intense, start with the lower end zones.

On the north end, Sections 102 and 103 put you right behind the goal line. On the south end, Sections 121 and 122 give you the same kind of setup. You lose some of the classic sideline view, but the payoff is obvious when the Chargers are coming your way.

You’re right under the Infinity Screen, and when the Chargers punch one in right in front of you, you’re squarely in the middle of it.

Best seats for opposing fans

If you want to sit near the visiting sideline without paying for premium, start with Sections 128 through 130 and 133 through 135. They put you close to the visiting bench area while keeping you out of the VIP sections directly behind it.

For a better full-field view, move up to Sections 337 through 339. You still stay on the east side near midfield, but the extra height makes it easier to follow the whole play.

If you are trying to keep the price down, Sections 442 through 444 and 539 through 541 are the better upper-level options on that side. They keep you near the visiting sideline without sending you deep into a corner.

If you do want to splurge, SoFi Social Club is the field-level option behind the visiting bench.

Best food at SoFi Stadium

SoFi has moved well beyond basic burgers and nachos. Some of the better options pull from LA’s mix of Mexican, Asian and Hawaiian food, while a few of the stadium’s longtime street-named stands are still worth knowing about.

There is also the LA Street Dog. SoFi added its version for the 2025 season, with a bacon-wrapped hot dog, caramelized onions and jalapeño aioli. It is sold at multiple concession locations around the stadium, including Market Grill stands, so you should not have to go far out of your way to find one.

Tailgating near SoFi Stadium

If you want to tailgate before a Chargers game, you need to be in the Hyundai Pink Zone. It is the only SoFi parking area where full tailgating is allowed, and you need a Pink Zone parking pass to bring in a vehicle. Each space comes with a standard parking stall plus a smaller area directly behind the car for your setup.

The lots open four hours before kickoff, and it pays to get there early if you are meeting a group. Spaces are first come, first served, and you cannot save a spot for another car, so anyone who wants to park together should arrive together.

Propane and natural-gas grills are allowed, along with small portable generators. Charcoal grills, wood stoves, fryers and open fires are not. Tailgating has to wrap up at kickoff.

You do not have to park in the Pink Zone to join friends there. Fans with a game ticket can walk into the tailgating area, which makes it an easy pregame stop even if you take transit or park elsewhere. Pepsi Tailgate Central is the Chargers’ official gathering spot in the lot, but plenty of the fun is in the fan setups around it.

What to do before and after the game

If you want to stay close to SoFi, The Meeting Spot is the easiest pregame option. It sits in the Shops at Hollywood Park and has a large outdoor patio, cocktails, local beer and food. On NFL Sundays, it opens at 10 a.m., so it works especially well for an early game.

For something more local, Dulan’s Soul Food Kitchen is one of the Inglewood stops worth making. The fried chicken, oxtails, mac and cheese, collard greens and peach cobbler are the classics.

If tacos sound better before kickoff, Asadero Chikali is just east of the stadium near Intuit Dome. It specializes in Mexicali-style carne asada and guisado tacos on flour tortillas, with a long salsa and toppings bar to finish them off.

For drinks and barbecue, The Wood Urban Kitchen is another solid Inglewood option. There is usually a game on, the bar pours beer and cocktails, and the menu leans into brisket, ribs, wings and brisket fries.

If you would rather stay around Hollywood Park after the game, Cosm gives you something to do without immediately fighting traffic. Its giant domed screen shows live sports, and you can order food and drinks while you watch. Hollywood Park also has Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas and a growing group of restaurants and bars around the stadium.
