The first week of the NBA season is in the books, and it looks like another exciting campaign is on tap. It only ramps up in the second week of the season, with the NBA’s in-season tournament, the NBA Cup, tipping off. With a grand prize of over half a million dollars for each player on the line, all 30 teams will be going all out in this multi-stage tournament.

This is also the second edition of “The Heat Check” on the SeatGeek blog, where we highlight the five hottest NBA games of the week by average resale ticket price each Monday. That way, you can see what the upcoming marquee matchups are, especially if you’re looking to buy NBA tickets.

1. Houston Rockets at Boston Celtics on Saturday, Nov. 1

Average resale ticket price at SeatGeek: $323

The Rockets entered the season as one of the top NBA title contenders, and are looking to bounce back after a couple close losses last week. Not only does this matchup figure to have incredible star power with Kevin Durant, Jaylen Brown, Alperen Sengun and Derrick White, but current Rockets head coach Ime Udoka was also the former head coach of the Celtics. Sign us up for a Saturday night at TD Garden

2. Los Angeles Lakers at Memphis Grizzlies on Friday, Oct. 31 (NBA Cup)

Average resale ticket price at SeatGeek: $270

The first day of the NBA Cup is on Halloween, and the Lakers were the inaugural winner of the event two seasons ago. Los Angeles has won two of its first three games this year despite LeBron James being sidelined with sciatica. Luka Doncic, though, is averaging an obscene 46 points per game, which has been more than enough to keep the Lakers afloat in James’ absence. The Grizzlies have also won two of their first three games, and are led by electric point guard Ja Morant.

3. Golden State Warriors at Indiana Pacers on Saturday, Nov. 1

Average resale ticket price at SeatGeek: $241

This is the only time this regular season that Pacers fans have the chance to see Stephen Curry play at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and the 37-year-old Curry still remains one of the NBA’s top players to see in person. Curry has averaged 33.3 points in Golden State’s first three games this campaign, with the Warriors winning two of them. The Pacers are fresh off an NBA Finals appearance, but are still getting used to life without brilliant passer Tyrese Halliburton, who suffered a ruptured Achilles in Game 7 of their championship battle against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

4. Los Angeles Clippers at Golden State Warriors on Tuesday, Oct. 28

Average resale ticket price at SeatGeek: $222

Stephen Curry at home is also a major attraction, and the Warriors welcome another playoff contender to town with the Clippers rolling in. The Clippers are led by a couple of big-name veterans, with Kawhi Leonard and James Harden each having the capability to completely take over a game. Los Angeles has been Golden State’s kryptonite in recent seasons, having won eight of the previous nine matchups—including all four showdowns last year.

5. Los Angeles Lakers at Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, Oct. 29

Average resale ticket price at SeatGeek: $204

These two Western Conference foes played in the first week of the season at Crypto.com Arena, and were the fifth-hottest game by average resale ticket price in last week’s “Heat Check.” The Lakers won that clash 128-110, behind Luka Doncic’s 49 points. Anthony Edwards and Minnesota will look to get revenge on their home floor, with the Target Center serving as the scene for this intriguing Wednesday night matchup.
