The Waste Management Phoenix Open (WMPO) will return to Scottsdale, AZ, from February 6th-12th, 2023. The event will be one of PGA’s elevated status events, with a recent increase in the purse to $20 million, a $3.6 million first-place check and 500 FedEx Cup points.
But this year is bringing a lot more than golf to the table. The all-ages, family-friendly event doubles as a week-long festival full of good vibes, music and witty banter.
The Coors Light Entertainment tent will bring massive headliners to the stage, including Jason Aldean, Machine Gun Kelly, The Chainsmokers and more.
Here’s everything you need to know about the WM Phoenix Open and how to buy tickets.
Dating back to 1932, The WM Phoenix Open, also known as “The Greatest Show on Grass,” is one of the largest golf tournaments in the world, drawing in nearly 700,000 fans each year. The event is one of the first tournaments on the PGA tour schedule and is known for bringing some of the greatest players in the industry to compete.
Unlike most golf tournaments, the WM Phoenix Open is not a quiet place. In fact, being loud is encouraged, which explains the packed stadium seating and passionate crowd. Video recaps from previous years show unhinged attendees cheering loudly, throwing water bottles and going wild for hole in one’s – especially at the 16th hole.
Despite the insane environment and massive crowd, the PGA Waste Management Phoenix Open upholds a strict no-waste policy, earning them the “Best Title Sponsorship Integration Award.” In the last three years, there hasn’t been a single piece of trash from the WM Phoenix Open that has gone to landfills.
Additional upcoming tournaments in the PGA Tour schedule include The Masters, The U.S. Open, The Open Championship and the PGA Championship.
The WM Phoenix Open will take place from February 6th-12th, 2023, at TPC Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona. Gates open at 7:00 AM MT daily and hospitality venues open at 9:00 AM MT.
