About Bon Jovi Tickets
Despite having found its origins in an 80s-rock sound that, for many bands, didn’t translate to longevity, Bon Jovi has evolved and transformed its music to remain relevant well into the 21st century. Of course, they’ve never abandoned the New Jersey rock ‘n’ roll roots that launched them to success in the first place. The band formed in 1983, earning a contract with record label Polygram Mercury on the strength of the demo for “Runaway.” The next year, the band released its self-titled debut album, and follow-up 7800° Fahrenheit came in 1985. It was Bon Jovi’s third album, however, that would turn the band into a household name. Featuring No. 1 hits “You Give Love a Bad Name” and “Livin’ on a Prayer”—plus Top Ten single “Wanted Dead or Alive”—1986’s Slippery When Wet sold over nine million copies in the United States.
New Jersey (1988) spawned two more No. 1s in “Bad Medicine” and “I’ll Be There for You.” And while that marked the end of Bon Jovi’s true dominance of the airwaves, they haven’t strayed far from the spotlight since. Their two studio albums released in the 1990s, Keep the Faith and These Days, each sold at least 10 million copies worldwide. 2000 single “It’s My Life” showed off a modern sound that rocked just as hard as the band’s greatest hits, and went Double Platinum in the States. A 2005 duet with Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles, “Who Says You Can’t Go Home,” took the band’s sound in a new, country direction, one that suited it quite well. Still have any doubts as to whether the band’s still got it? Well, their latest album, This House is Not for Sale (2016), debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
