About Atmosphere
The Story of Atmosphere tickets
Pure, uncluttered, stripped down rap describes the straight-ahead sounds of Atmosphere, an indie hip hop group out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, that has attracted a strong following with their no-frills style, and their cool-rhythmic background laced with ethereal synthesizer licks flitting around the words. Atmosphere is Slug (Sean Daley) on vocals with Ant (Anthony Davis), producer. Performing in various combinations since 1989, Atmosphere is among the most successful indie hip hop groups, and with Atmosphere tickets you will see why their mesmerizing style and raw, thoughtful raps attract so many loyal fans. Atmosphere recorded their first album, Overcast, in 1997 and broadened their fan base with the radio play of the song 'Scapegoat' while honing their sound at Minneapolis clubs. Since then, Atmosphere has maintained a steady touring and recording schedule with a succession of albums and EPs, including You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having in 2005 and the Family Sign in 2011, which debuted at Number 13 on Billboard 200, now featuring keyboardist Erick Anderson and guitarist Nate Collis, adding a sophisticated touch of depth to the songs. One thing you will notice about an Atmosphere concert: the performance presentation is highly refined, and Slug knows how to command a crowd from his years of perfecting his on-stage presence.
