You can now start planning for tickets to the historic 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Starting today, January 14, 2026, fans around the world can register for the LA28 Ticket Draw. The draw is your chance to secure a time slot to purchase tickets for the Games, from the Opening Ceremony at the iconic Los Angeles Coliseum to high-profile finals across Southern California and beyond.
Whether you’re a lifelong Angeleno or attending the Olympics for the first time, here’s everything you need to know.
To participate, visit Tickets.LA28.org and register with your name, email and ZIP code. Registration is open through March 18, 2026.
Once registered, you’re entered into a random draw that assigns a time slot to purchase tickets during upcoming drops. Being selected doesn’t guarantee tickets, but it gives you a fair shot at some of the most in-demand events, including the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
Key details:
Time slot notifications: March 31 – April 7, 2026
Drop 1 ticket sales: April 9 – April 19, 2026
Paralympic tickets: Go on sale in 2027
Ticket limit: Up to 12 per person per time slot
If you’re not selected in the first drop, you’re automatically entered into future ticket releases.
Certain residents get early access before the general public:
Southern California counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Ventura, San Bernardino
Oklahoma counties: Oklahoma, Canadian, Cleveland
You might be wondering why Oklahoma counties are included. Some 2028 Summer Olympic events, like softball and canoe slalom, will actually take place at existing venues in Oklahoma City rather than Los Angeles. Including these counties ensures local residents there have a chance at early access, just like Southern California residents.
The Locals Presale runs April 2-April 6, 2026. Simply register for the ticket draw with a qualifying billing ZIP code to be eligible.
LA28 organizers are focused on affordability and accessibility:
Tickets start at $28, with at least 1 million tickets at this price
About one-third of tickets under $100
Free tickets for community organizations will be distributed in Los Angeles through partnerships and donations
With pricing like this, the 2028 Summer Games are truly open to fans of all ages and backgrounds.
LA28 will use existing world-class venues across Southern California. To avoid building temporary facilities and in recognition of existing elite infrastructure, LA28 will host two sports in Oklahoma City, which are the only competition sites outside California for the 2028 Games.
Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum – Opening and Closing Ceremonies, track & field, and a historic Olympic centerpiece returning for the third time.
Dodger Stadium – Baseball and softball competitions, bringing Olympic baseball back to one of the region’s most iconic ballparks.
Venice Beach / Trestles Beach – Surfing events set against California’s world‑famous waves and beach culture.
Intuit Dome (Inglewood) – Basketball events in a brand-new arena designed for high‑caliber competition.
Rose Bowl – Soccer matches at one of the most storied stadiums in collegiate and international sport.
RIVERSPORT OKC Whitewater Center – Canoe slalom and whitewater events will take place on this established course along the Oklahoma River, a venue already recognized for hosting national and international whitewater competitions.
Devon Park / OKC Softball Park – Softball competitions will be held at this purpose‑built softball complex, which regularly hosts high‑level softball events and comfortably meets Olympic competition standards.
