If you’re a diehard football fan, you’ve probably thought of purchasing season tickets for your favorite team at least once.

Season tickets are a fantastic way for fans to enjoy as much live football as they can handle throughout an NFL season, as they are guaranteed entry to at least eight regular season football games.

One of the most legendary season tickets around is the Green Bay Packers, long known as the toughest season ticket to get in the history of the National Football League.

If you’re interested in buying Packers season tickets, we have you covered with a quick guide on everything you need to know to get your hands on those elusive tickets.

Benefits of Season Tickets

Before we get into our guide on how to buy season tickets for the Packers, we thought we’d do a quick rundown of the benefits of having season tickets.

Price stability

Season tickets are a flat fee per game, so you won’t have to pay extra money for games that have increased importance or higher demand

Access to Playoff tickets

Season ticket holders are given the first right of refusal for playoff tickets before they go on sale to the general public

NFL perks

The league offers a few perks of its own to season ticket holders, including free access to NFL RedZone, a discount at the NFL’s online shop and access to the league’s Ticket Exchange.

The Infamous “Packers Season Ticket Waiting List”

On to what you’re waiting for, our section on how to get Green Bay Packers season tickets. Spoiler alert: it’s going to involve quite a bit of waiting.

The only way to buy season tickets for Lambeau Field is to print out a form, mail it to the team, and be put on their waiting list.

The waitlist to get Packers season tickets has become legendary, as the team has sold out its season tickets at Lambeau every year since 1960. As it currently stands, the waiting list for season tickets is over 130,000 names long, with an approximate waiting time of up to 30 years after putting your name on the list.

This essentially means that if you put your name on the list now, you’d be looking at getting access to season tickets sometime around the year 2040. If you’re interested in putting your name on the waiting list, you can download a form here, fill it out, and mail it to the Packers at their address listed at the bottom. Those on the waiting list receive a postcard from the Packers once a year that provides an update on what spot in line they are.

Due to the sheer volume of people already on the waiting list, many Packers fans put their newborn babies on the list shortly after they are born, in hopes that they’ll be able to get season tickets sometime in their thirties.

Packers Ticket Transfer Policy

Given the fact that there’s such a high demand for season tickets, the Packers are extremely stringent regarding transfers of season tickets. Season tickets can be transferred to another person if the season ticket holder passes away. If a season ticket holder dies, they may pass their tickets onto a blood relative, provided the blood relative is not more than a first cousin.
