Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) is a U.S. symphonic-rock ensemble founded in 1996 by Paul O’Neill, Robert Kinkel, and Jon Oliva, born out of the heavy metal group Savatage. Combining classical orchestration, progressive and symphonic metal and thematic storytelling, TSO is best known for holiday-themed rock operas like Christmas Eve and Other Stories and The Lost Christmas Eve.

Their live shows are massive productions featuring lasers, pyrotechnics, intricate sets and theatrical narration, often running two simultaneous touring companies (East/West) to cover many cities during the holiday season.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra's sixth and most recent studio album is Letters from the Labyrinth, released on November 13, 2015 via Lava/Republic Records. This release reached #7 on the Billboard 200 and topped the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart. Notably, it was the last album to include contributions from founder Paul O’Neill (who passed in 2017), bassist David Zablidowsky and keyboardist Vitalij Kuprij (both deceased in later years).
