Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol got the full Broadway treatment when critically acclaimed composer Alan Menken and his team adapted the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and his band of Christmas spirits into a musical in 1994. The musical extravaganza, complete with flying ghosts and falling snow, ran at New York City's Madison Square Garden for ten years. Actors such as F. Murray Abraham , Walter Charles, Tim Curry, Tony Randall, and Roger Daltry starred as Scrooge during this period.
