What to expect at Kanye West's Ye Live concerts: Setlist, start time and more

Ye being back in U.S. stadiums already feels like a big deal. The fact that every show has had its own weird, memorable little twists has made the run even more fun to follow.

So far, Ye has stopped in Los Angeles, Tampa, San Antonio, New Orleans and Chicago, and no two nights have felt exactly the same. Songs get restarted, surprise guests pop out and the setlist keeps changing from city to city.

At this point, there have been enough shows to get a pretty good feel for what a Ye concert looks like in 2026, even if trying to predict the exact night is still half the fun.

The shows have pulled from across his catalog, mixed in newer Bully material and changed enough from city to city that there is plenty to keep an eye on before your date arrives.

From stage time and setlist trends to surprise guests, the production and when to get there, here is everything fans should know before heading to a Ye concert in 2026.

As of now, Ye has four remaining U.S. stadium shows on the calendar, starting with a second night at Soldier Field before heading to Houston, Arlington and Glendale. Additional dates may be announced.

All shows are listed at 8:00 p.m. local time except Glendale, which is listed at 7:00 p.m. MT.

Who is opening for Ye at the 2026 concerts?

Ye has not been using a traditional opening act at his recent U.S. stadium shows.

Instead, the surprises have come during his own set. Travis Scott, North West and Lauryn Hill were among the guests at SoFi Stadium. Kodak Black joined him during the second Tampa show, while Ty Dolla $ign appeared in New Orleans.

Then Ye came home to Chicago and really opened the door. Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Future and Twista all joined the Sept. 3 Soldier Field show.

No guests have been announced for the remaining dates, so there is no guarantee anyone will show up. But after this many surprise appearances, it is definitely something to keep in the back of your mind.

What time does Ye go on stage?

Ye has usually taken the stage after the listed show time, although the gap has not been exactly the same every night.

The June 26 Tampa show was listed for 8 p.m. and started around 9 p.m. Two nights later, Ye came out around 9:15 p.m. San Antonio also began around 9:15 p.m., although that show was listed for 9 p.m.

Chicago followed the same general pattern. The Sept. 3 Soldier Field show was listed for 8 p.m., with Ye starting around 8:55 p.m.

So if your ticket says 8 p.m., Ye coming out closer to 9 has been pretty common. Just do not count on it. These shows do not have a normal opener to use as a clock, and the timing can change from city to city.

Get inside before the listed start and you will not have to worry about missing whatever happens first.

How long is a Ye concert?

Around two hours is a pretty good expectation based on the U.S. run so far.

The first Tampa show lasted about one hour and 50 minutes, while the second went right around two hours. San Antonio also ran about one hour and 50 minutes.

Chicago went longer. Ye started around 8:55 p.m. on Sept. 3 and finished around 11:10 p.m., putting the hometown show at roughly two hours and 15 minutes.

That range makes sense when you watch how these shows unfold. Songs get restarted, others are cut short or stretched out, and a surprise guest can suddenly add another few minutes to the night.

Once Ye actually comes out, plan on being there for about two hours and know it could go longer.

After seven U.S. shows this year, there is a pretty clear group of songs Ye keeps coming back to.

The setlist still changes from night to night, and Chicago showed just how deep into the catalog he can go when the mood hits. That Chicago set is a great example of why the frequency table only tells part of the story. There are songs Ye has played almost every night, but there is still plenty of room for an old favorite that has been gone for years, a hometown surprise or an entire guest run to suddenly show up.

Does Ye play older hits?

Absolutely.

That has been one of the best parts of this run. Across SoFi, Tampa, San Antonio, New Orleans and Chicago, Ye has kept going back to the songs that made people fans in the first place.

“Jesus Walks,” “Through the Wire,” “Gold Digger,” “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” “Good Life,” “Flashing Lights,” “Stronger,” “Heartless,” “Power” and “Runaway” have all been regular parts of the U.S. shows this year.

Chicago went even deeper, with “Homecoming,” “I Wonder,” “Champion,” “Heard ’Em Say” and “Slow Jamz” all showing up on Sept. 3.

So if you are going for old-school Ye, you are definitely not spending the whole night waiting around for it.

Do not expect the usual encore routine.

Ye’s recent U.S. shows have generally kept rolling into the final songs instead of stopping for a long walk-off and return.

“Runaway” has become a familiar way to finish the night, and Chicago built up to it with “All of the Lights,” “Flashing Lights,” “Stronger” and “Ghost Town.”

What is the "Ye Live" concert production like?

The giant sphere is the first thing you notice.

Ye has been performing on and around the massive structure near the middle of the floor, giving the show a completely different feel from a normal stadium concert with a stage at one end. When should you arrive for a Ye concert?

Give yourself more time than you think you need.

Ye has usually come out after the listed start time on this U.S. run, but that does not mean you should plan around a delay. These are huge stadiums, and parking, security, merch and the walk to your section can eat up time fast.

Arriving around 90 minutes early gives you plenty of breathing room. If you are heading straight to your seat, 60 minutes can work, but still try to be inside well before the listed start.

For Houston on Halloween, give yourself even more time for traffic around the stadium.

What should you bring to a Ye concert?

Start with the obvious: your mobile ticket and a fully charged phone.

A portable charger is a good idea if your venue allows one, especially if you know you are going to be taking photos and videos all night. A small venue-approved bag, ID and payment card should cover the basics.

Earplugs are worth bringing too. These are loud stadium shows.

And check your venue’s bag, camera and outside food policies before you leave. Getting turned around at the gate is a brutal way to start the night.

What should you wear to a Ye concert?

Pretty much every Ye era works here.
