Learn More About Boston Concerts Next Weekend
It’s the biggest city in New England, and you’ll find more to do in Boston than just about anywhere else in the country. In addition to all of its history and its perennially successful sports franchises, Boston is a hotbed for music and live entertainment. Famous artists like Aerosmith, The Cars, Dropkick Murphys, Pixies, and Gang Starr all came originally from Boston.
Boston’s biggest concert venues are also some of its biggest sports venues. TD Garden, which is the home arena of the NHL’s Boston Bruins and the NBA’s Boston Celtics, is a frequent touring stop for some of the country’s biggest artists. TD Garden replaced the original Boston Garden arena in 1995 and can seat more than 19,000 fans at concert events.
If you’re looking for something smaller—and, typically, cheaper—The Paradise Rock Club is a famous venue that typically books larger local bands and artists touring nationally. The Paradise opened in 1977 and underwent major renovations in 2010. The club has a capacity of 933, and performances are standing room only. Crowds gather on two levels, and you’ll feel close to the band no matter where you end up.
For even more variety, the Brighton Music Hall is yet another famous venue for live music. With a capacity of 476, Brighton is a more intimate location. It books smaller and up-and-coming artists from many genres.
